Sergey Avdoshin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Seredkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th match minute, Nazran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Biryulev to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th match minute, Nazran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikhail Vishnyakov to maneuver through the defense. Leonid Epshtein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rustam Lavrentev having to interfere. Rustam Lavrentev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egor Kurmaliev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nazran FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee gave Nazran FC a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andrey Biryulev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Sergey Avdoshin. 2-0. If Vadim Kondratiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vadim Kondratiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Sergey Avdoshin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oleg Fadeev in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's zone, Vadim Kondratiev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergey Avdoshin came out of the goal and Vadim Kondratiev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergey Avdoshin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vadim Kondratiev in the 44th minute. Stepan Alekseev lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk! Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Seredkin made a kick off. Vadim Kondratiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergey Avdoshin having to interfere. Sergey Avdoshin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Seredkin in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Egor Kurmaliev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nazran FC the free kick. Valentin Seredkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergey Avdoshin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Sergey Avdoshin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Seredkin in the 67th minute of play. Vadim Kondratiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egor Kurmaliev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rustam Lavrentev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikhail Vishnyakov charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikhail Vishnyakov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mikhail Vishnyakov hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rustam Lavrentev came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Egor Kurmaliev. But to his dismay, Egor Kurmaliev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Valentin Scherbakov charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 97th minute, Valentin Scherbakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 103rd minute, Valentin Seredkin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergey Avdoshin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nazran FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
