Gleb Chernyshevskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Anatoliy Ustinov got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 13th match minute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Scherbakov to maneuver through the defense. Filimon Seleznev spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's goal. If Gleb Chernyshevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Egor Kurmaliev hit a great ball. Sergey Avdoshin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filimon Seleznev's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semen Gabrielov to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk booed when Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Stukashov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egor Kurmaliev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Leonid Epshtein ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mikhail Rusakov. Mikhail Rusakov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's zone, Filimon Seleznev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergey Avdoshin came out of the goal and Filimon Seleznev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Scherbakov during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valentin Scherbakov kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Vsevolod Minaev charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vsevolod Minaev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC got a freekick which was hit by Vsevolod Minaev. After recieving a nice pass, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's Anatoliy Ustinov tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Gleb Chernyshevskiy took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergey Avdoshin. Sergey Avdoshin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gleb Chernyshevskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sergey Avdoshin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergey Avdoshin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filimon Seleznev in the 65th minute of the match. Filimon Seleznev was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC's Filimon Seleznev managed to work through Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Filimon Seleznev dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Egor Kurmaliev came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egor Kurmaliev couldn't finish the play. Sergey Avdoshin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filimon Seleznev in the 81st minute of the match. Sergey Avdoshin made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gleb Chernyshevskiy sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Filimon Seleznev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filimon Seleznev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergey Avdoshin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC booed when Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dmitriy Kalyagin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC's Gleb Chernyshevskiy came free and shot a quick shot against goal 90 minutes in the game, fortunately Sergey Avdoshin had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Leninsk-Kuznetsky FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
