But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitaliy Zykov couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Konstantin Volkonskiy during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 44 minutes into the game, one of Armavir FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vitaliy Babushkin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Butova FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
