The referee ignored Smena's protests and gave Felix Nadezhin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Smena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Nadezhin to maneuver through the defense. Eduard Beshkarev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Aleksey Chervonnyi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danil Borzov to make the kick off. Eduard Beshkarev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleksey Chervonnyi having to make a save. Kyzyl FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Vladimir Baskov scored to the left of an out of position Konstantin Kabatskiy, making the score, 1-3. Vladimir Baskov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantin Kabatskiy having to interfere. If Emmanuil Krunevich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Vladimir Baskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Kabatskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Smena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Smena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
