Ernest Voschevoz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Torpedo's Dmitriy Yurchishin got a free kick in the 25th minute. Maksim Kolesnikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Kulakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Maksim Kolesnikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filimon Naumov in the 29th minute of the match. Shahty's Nikita Olshanskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Shahty from getting a goal against them. Roman Kulakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksim Kolesnikov having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Torpedo's zone, Filimon Naumov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maksim Kolesnikov came out of the goal and Filimon Naumov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filimon Naumov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torpedo's players were relieved. 58 minutes into the game, Filimon Naumov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Maksim Kolesnikov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If German Fedorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Torpedo's Pavel Bezrukavnikov got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Maksim Kolesnikov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Maksim Kolesnikov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Kulakov in the 68th minute. When Filimon Naumov got free in front of the goal in the 70th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Maksim Kolesnikov was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Roman Kulakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maksim Kolesnikov made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Roman Kulakov sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Roman Kulakov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shahty's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Kulakov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksim Kolesnikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Torpedo getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dmitriy Yurchishin hit a great ball. Maksim Kolesnikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filimon Naumov, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Filimon Naumov struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Maksim Kolesnikov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shahty. Shahty's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
