In the 15th minute Arkadiy Bondarchuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Berngardt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evgeniy Sharapov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rasul Zuskin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Ledkov in the 33rd minute of play forced Krasnoyarsk's goalkeeper Efim Berngardt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Prokopyevsk FC's Boris Ledkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efim Berngardt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Prokopyevsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Ledkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efim Berngardt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
