Afanasiy Shkopinskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Vyacheslav Gorshkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afanasiy Shkopinskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Gorshkov having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Ivanovo HC got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Lobanovskiy. Vyacheslav Gorshkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedosey Temirbulatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Volzhsky FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fedosey Temirbulatov came free, but Vyacheslav Gorshkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedosey Temirbulatov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Gorshkov having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Dmitriy Lobanovskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34thth minute of the game Fedosey Temirbulatov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Volzhsky FC's Vyacheslav Gorshkov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 34 minutes, Yuriy Tyulenev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volzhsky FC and the Ivanovo HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Volzhsky FC got a freekick which was hit by Yuriy Tyulenev. Afanasiy Shkopinskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vyacheslav Gorshkov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 36 minutes of play Volzhsky FC's Yuriy Tyulenev was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 37th minute, Yuriy Tyulenev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Afanasiy Shkopinskiy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vyacheslav Gorshkov. Volzhsky FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afanasiy Shkopinskiy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.

Vyacheslav Gorshkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fedosey Temirbulatov in the 52nd minute. Volzhsky FC's Vyacheslav Gorshkov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Volzhsky FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Afanasiy Zaroschinskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afanasiy Zaroschinskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rostislav Antonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Gerasim Syagaev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Volzhsky FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ivanovo HC the free kick. In the 73rd minute, one of Volzhsky FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Volzhsky FC. Veniamin Filippenkov shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Fedosey Temirbulatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Ivanovo HC's Dmitriy Lobanovskiy got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fedosey Temirbulatov in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vyacheslav Gorshkov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Volzhsky FC's Ernest Kapustin got a free kick in the 96th minute.
