After a rather tough play, FC Shakhovskaya 2013's Vadim Zykov got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ivan Baburov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Altauzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the game, Lev Shilov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Shakhovskaya 2013's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Podolsk the free kick. Pavel Loskutov was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernest Altauzen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Podolsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Altauzen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Baburov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislav Tsvetkov in the 21st minute of the match. Ernest Altauzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Baburov having to interfere. If Stanislav Tsvetkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Podolsk's Ernest Altauzen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Baburov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislav Tsvetkov in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Baburov saved FC Shakhovskaya 2013 from getting behind. Ivan Baburov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanislav Tsvetkov's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Ivan Baburov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Tsvetkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Ernest Altauzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Baburov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Altauzen in the 44th minute of play. Vadim Zykov got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Shakhovskaya 2013's Vadim Zykov got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Rustam Semak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stanislav Tsvetkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Baburov having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ivan Baburov didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Igor Filippov kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Pavel Loskutov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Baburov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Ernest Altauzen took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Ivan Baburov to make any attempt to save it. When Klim Astronomov fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Shakhovskaya 2013's protests and gave Klim Astronomov a yellow card for diving instead. Pavel Loskutov shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 78 minutes into the match, FC Shakhovskaya 2013's goalkeeper Ivan Baburov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernest Altauzen. In the 83rd minute Stanislav Tsvetkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Baburov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
