Albert Polyanichko hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pervouralsk HC's zone, Andrey Gerbanovskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lev Shtempel came out of the goal and Andrey Gerbanovskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lev Shtempel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viktor Ilyushin went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gleb Parshev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Bekleshov having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Gleb Parshev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mikhail Bekleshov, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Vasiliy Simutenkov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pervouralsk HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasiliy Simutenkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikhail Bekleshov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gleb Parshev made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Novy Urengoy defense, Ilya Suhotskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikhail Bekleshov. The Novy Urengoy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikhail Bekleshov should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute, Albert Polyanichko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilya Suhotskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilya Suhotskiy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikhail Bekleshov having to make a save. Yakov Blinov kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Dmitriy Arabov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Lev Shtempel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lev Shtempel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Ilyushin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Novy Urengoy's Dmitriy Arabov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lev Shtempel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Andrey Kulikov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikhail Bekleshov. Novy Urengoy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrey Kulikov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. There was no doubt that Pervouralsk HC were the better team. Pervouralsk HC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
