The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oleg Scherbatov to strike the kick off in the second half. Anton Svetlov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Ikonin having to make a save. In the 57th minute Oleg Scherbatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Ikonin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Anton Svetlov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oleg Scherbatov struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Adam Ikonin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoshkar-Ola FC. Oleg Scherbatov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oleg Scherbatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergey Fomenko in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Ikonin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Ikonin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oleg Scherbatov, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oleg Scherbatov in the 70th minute of play forced FC ZVEZDA's goalkeeper Adam Ikonin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FC ZVEZDA defense, Oleg Scherbatov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Ikonin. The FC ZVEZDA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Ikonin should have stopped the shot. Anton Svetlov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
