Viktor Vlasov charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viktor Vlasov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Magnitogorsk getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Roman Blinov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Vasiliy Agakov could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Viktor Afanasev however easily saved by the left post. 48 minutes into the match, Magnitogorsk's goal looked a bit too open when Klim Dzhigit came free, but Viktor Afanasev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristarh Vorobiev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Magnitogorsk's Vladimir Zakharov threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aristarh Vorobiev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Aristarh Vorobiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Afanasev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Belyaev's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Aristarh Vorobiev came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Magnitogorsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristarh Vorobiev couldn't finish the play. Vasiliy Agakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Viktor Afanasev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aristarh Vorobiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Aristarh Vorobiev lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Vladimir Zakharov. In the 85th minute, Roman Blinov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vasiliy Agakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasiliy Agakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Viktor Afanasev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Arkoper's Vasiliy Agakov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viktor Afanasev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Magnitogorsk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
