Ivan Kusin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Dmitriy Komoedov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Kusin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vladikavkaz HC's goalkeeper Dmitriy Komoedov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valeryan Kislinskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dmitriy Komoedov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. A hard shot 11 in the game by Igor Chudnovskiy from a close distance when the talented Dmitriy Komoedov managed to make a qualified save. Vladikavkaz HC's players were relieved. Dmitriy Komoedov was a little too slow when Igor Chudnovskiy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Pyatigorsk's Ivan Kusin got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Vladikavkaz HC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeryan Kislinskiy came free, but Dmitriy Komoedov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladikavkaz HC's Dmitriy Komoedov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Chudnovskiy in the 20th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Vladikavkaz HC got a freekick which was hit by Lev Beskov. Dmitriy Komoedov was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Igor Chudnovskiy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Igor Chudnovskiy really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Valeryan Kislinskiy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dmitriy Komoedov having to make a save. In the 33rd minute, Ivan Kusin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Kalnishevskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Ivan Kusin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pyatigorsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Kusin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ivan Kusin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Ernest Kozhuhov notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vladikavkaz HC's Dmitriy Komoedov. Dmitriy Komoedov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Kalnishevskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pyatigorsk were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Vladikavkaz HC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Lenshin took the corner. Dmitriy Komoedov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Chudnovskiy in the 59th minute of the match. Dmitriy Komoedov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Kulagin in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vladikavkaz HC's zone, Valeryan Kislinskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitriy Komoedov came out of the goal and Valeryan Kislinskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Vladikavkaz HC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeryan Kislinskiy came free, but Dmitriy Komoedov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Vladikavkaz HC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Chudnovskiy came free, but Dmitriy Komoedov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ivan Kusin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Kalnishevskiy hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Dmitriy Komoedov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Kusin went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute, Igor Chudnovskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vladikavkaz HC's zone, Ivan Kusin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitriy Komoedov came out of the goal and Ivan Kusin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Vladikavkaz HC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Kozhuhov came free, but Dmitriy Komoedov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeryan Kislinskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Pyatigorsk were the better team. Pyatigorsk's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
