Yuriy Lazarev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nalchik FC. Filimon Afanasenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viktor Kostrov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filimon Afanasenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Konstantin Prohorov lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Viktor Kostrov. After 45 played minutes Sochi got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Samsonov. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernest Aksinin in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuriy Lazarev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nikolay Babak made the kick off in the second half. Konstantin Prohorov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Viktor Kostrov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Prohorov in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sochi's Pavel Afanasev got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ernest Aksinin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Filimon Afanasenko sped through Nalchik FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viktor Kostrov. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
