When Afanasiy Zaitsev came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Armavir FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afanasiy Zaitsev couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Timofey Boyarinov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rostislav Buinovskiy was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maksim Obrezkov during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Kaluga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksim Obrezkov to maneuver through the defense. Armavir FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Petr Aladushkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vsevolod Gushalevich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timofey Boyarinov was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Kaluga FC's Mark Kochubey got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Maksim Obrezkov was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. Maksim Obrezkov kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Armavir FC booed when Kaluga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Voldemar Schebet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afanasiy Zaitsev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaluga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yakov Kolyshkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
