Novocherkassk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kostroma FC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergey Yatsenko got free with Rudolf Petrov in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Petrov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergey Yatsenko's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Kostroma FC's Vyacheslav Tochilin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudolf Petrov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dmitriy Abrosimov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Semenov in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Novocherkassk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Gusev to maneuver through the defense.
