Pavel Silin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Shiganov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Pavel Silin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Shiganov having to make a save. In the 9th minute, Pavel Zelyanin made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Rusakov. Kaluga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ilya Adrianov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Rusakov having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Khasavyurt's Ilya Adrianov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Rusakov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Ilya Adrianov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Zelyanin took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Rusakov. Ivan Rusakov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Pavel Zelyanin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Rusakov having to interfere. In the 39th minute Ilya Adrianov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Rusakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Klim Polyn fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khasavyurt's protests and gave Klim Polyn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kaluga booed when Khasavyurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klim Polyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Kaluga were awarded a corner. Lev Tagirov went to the cornerflag to take it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pavel Zelyanin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilya Adrianov struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ivan Rusakov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khasavyurt. With a little luck, Kaluga's Ivan Rusakov got control of the ball when Ilya Adrianov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kaluga's Ivan Rusakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilya Adrianov in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Khasavyurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikanor Linkov to maneuver through the defense. Ilya Adrianov might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Rusakov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ilya Adrianov ran back to his position shaking his head. Ilya Adrianov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ivan Rusakov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaluga's Ivan Rusakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Kaluga from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes, Yuriy Bolshakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kaluga and the Khasavyurt players grew even worse after the yellow card. 71 minutes into the match, Kaluga's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Zelyanin came free, but Ivan Rusakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Rusakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Zelyanin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Rusakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Zelyanin in the 82nd minute of the match. Kaluga's Ivan Rusakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Kaluga from getting a goal against them. Khasavyurt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
