After some careless play in the Pskov FC defense, Klim Balandyuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Aldonin. The Pskov FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Aldonin should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Pskov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Irakliy Levitov came free, but Roman Aldonin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pskov FC's Roman Aldonin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Pskov FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Pskov FC's Boris Kalyadin got a free kick in the 11th minute. Rostislav Aronov in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roman Aldonin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 22nd minute, Boris Kalyadin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Sivaronov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Rostislav Aronov came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pskov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rostislav Aronov couldn't finish the play. Roman Aldonin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irakliy Levitov in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Irakliy Levitov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Aldonin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Aldonin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irakliy Levitov in the 32nd minute of the match. Irakliy Levitov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Aldonin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irakliy Levitov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Irakliy Levitov was the one to do the kick off. Roman Aldonin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klim Balandyuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lev Baranetskiy's late challenge caught a Pskov FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lev Baranetskiy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Lev Baranetskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rostislav Aronov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pskov FC's zone, Rostislav Aronov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Aldonin came out of the goal and Rostislav Aronov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Irakliy Levitov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pskov fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Pskov's Irakliy Levitov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, Pskov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rostislav Aronov came free, but Roman Aldonin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikita Neverovskiy's late challenge caught a Pskov's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikita Neverovskiy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pskov FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nikita Neverovskiy hit a great ball. When Pskov's Rostislav Aronov, in the 92nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pskov. In the 94th minute, Nikita Neverovskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Pskov's Danila Babayan in action when he in the 96th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Rostislav Aronov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pskov had played much better football throughout.
