Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Samara FC's goal looked a bit too open when German Svetlov came free, but Valeriy Glazyrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kazan's German Svetlov got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valeriy Glazyrin made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Maksim Vodopyanov sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Svetlov in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valeriy Glazyrin saved Samara FC from getting behind. Samara FC's Valeriy Glazyrin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Samara FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Svetlov in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valeriy Glazyrin saved Samara FC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Svetlov to make the kick off. Arkadiy Kostkevich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Klopov having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kazan's zone, Arkadiy Kostkevich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Klopov came out of the goal and Arkadiy Kostkevich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valeriy Glazyrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egor Kiselev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Artem Beskov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match Maksim Myakinin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valeriy Glazyrin skillfully saved the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Samara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maksim Vodopyanov came free, but Valeriy Glazyrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samara FC's Valeriy Glazyrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Svetlov in the 80th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kazan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, Samara FC's Georgiy Dostoevskiy got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Artur Klopov. After a rather tough play, Samara FC's Viktor Karpov got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Samara FC's zone, German Svetlov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valeriy Glazyrin came out of the goal and German Svetlov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, German Svetlov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kazan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Samara FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
