Konstantin Kolobov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikhail Pevtsov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mikhail Pevtsov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Filimon Deminskiy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Innokentiy Golubev to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Βύβλος's zone, Innokentiy Golubev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitriy Dorenskiy came out of the goal and Innokentiy Golubev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mikhail Pevtsov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
