Nizhnevartovsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantin Mikhailov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Andreichik in the 11th minute of play forced Nizhnevartovsk FC's goalkeeper Boris Igolnikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stary Oskol FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Konstantin Mikhailov scored to the left of an out of position Zinoviy Shilov, making the score, 1-0. After 22 minutes, Erast Pudov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stary Oskol FC and the Nizhnevartovsk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erast Pudov kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Konstantin Mikhailov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yakov Kolodkevich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Zinoviy Shilov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Konstantin Mikhailov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yakov Kolodkevich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Denis Andreichik made the kick off in the second half. If Konstantin Mikhailov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stary Oskol FC's Zinoviy Shilov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakov Kolodkevich in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Konstantin Mikhailov notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Stary Oskol FC's Zinoviy Shilov. Zinoviy Shilov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zinoviy Shilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Mikhailov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zinoviy Shilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantin Mikhailov, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Konstantin Mikhailov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Denis Andreichik put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Boris Igolnikov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Mikhailov in the 80th minute of play forced Stary Oskol FC's goalkeeper Zinoviy Shilov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Stary Oskol FC booed when Nizhnevartovsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Innokentiy Gryakalov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nizhnevartovsk FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aleksandr Fokin was slow to take the kick. During this time Stary Oskol FC's players had a chance to rest.
