Georgiy Paroshin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vadim Germanovich, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oleg Kryukov got free with Andrey Soldatkov in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Novokuybyshevsk's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lanskoy came free, but Andrey Soldatkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Ivan Lanskoy made the kick off in the second half. Oleg Kryukov might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrey Soldatkov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Georgiy Paroshin made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ivan Broshin sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Novokuybyshevsk defense, Ivan Lanskoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrey Soldatkov. The Novokuybyshevsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrey Soldatkov should have stopped the shot.
