Nikolay Muravev in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aleksandr Kibirov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nikolay Muravev had several of the Elets FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Aleksandr Kibirov as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Oskolskiy in the 12th minute of play forced ФК Труд's goalkeeper Innokentiy Zyuzin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Andrey Nikitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innokentiy Zyuzin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes ФК Труд got a freekick which was hit by Rodion Kartoshkin. ФК Труд's Innokentiy Zyuzin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrey Nikitin in the 19th minute of play. Samuel Robins was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. ФК Труд's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nikolay Muravev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Aleksandr Kibirov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Nikolay Muravev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of ФК Труд booed when Elets FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksey Galperin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolay Muravev in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aleksandr Kibirov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Nikolay Muravev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When ФК Труд's Nikolay Muravev in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elets FC's goalie prevented a goal. Innokentiy Zyuzin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksey Galperin in the 42nd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Maksim Cherkin in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ФК Труд's Sergey Anufriev. Nikolay Muravev in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aleksandr Kibirov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nikolay Muravev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikolay Muravev was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Elets FC's zone, Nikolay Muravev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksandr Kibirov came out of the goal and Nikolay Muravev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Evgeniy Akimenko fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elets FC's protests and gave Evgeniy Akimenko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Elets FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evgeniy Akimenko to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, ФК Труд's Danil Shabalin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Marat Fomin took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Innokentiy Zyuzin to make any attempt to save it. When Nikolay Muravev came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the ФК Труд fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolay Muravev couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes ФК Труд got a freekick which was hit by Nikolay Muravev. Aleksandr Kibirov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danil Shabalin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ФК Труд! After 90 minutes of play, ФК Труд's Nikolay Muravev made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aleksandr Kibirov was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 minutes, Samuel Robins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ФК Труд and the Elets FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ФК Труд getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Samuel Robins hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Nikolay Muravev managed to get in a good position for a shot. ФК Труд's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikolay Muravev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksandr Kibirov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
