Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Evgeniy Larionov made the kick off and thus started the match. When Gennadiy Orlov came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Volzhsky HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gennadiy Orlov couldn't finish the play. Mikhail Plyasov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fedor Samsonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fedor Samsonov made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Nikolay Gusev sent off a good shot on target. Gennadiy Orlov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedor Samsonov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Magadan getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Yan Chebykin hit a great ball. Fedor Samsonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gennadiy Orlov, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Magadan's Fedor Samsonov got control of the ball when Mikhail Plyasov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fedor Samsonov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gennadiy Orlov in the 21st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mikhail Plyasov could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Fedor Samsonov however easily saved by the left post. Fedor Samsonov made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Mikhail Plyasov sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Gennadiy Orlov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volzhsky HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gennadiy Orlov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fedor Samsonov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Magadan's Fedor Samsonov got control of the ball when Mikhail Plyasov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikhail Plyasov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedor Samsonov having to interfere. The supporters of Volzhsky HC booed when Magadan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vyacheslav Karakin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Gennadiy Orlov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedor Samsonov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fedor Samsonov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gennadiy Orlov in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gennadiy Orlov made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Magadan defense, Gennadiy Orlov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedor Samsonov. The Magadan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedor Samsonov should have stopped the shot. When Volzhsky HC's Gennadiy Orlov in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Magadan's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute Gennadiy Orlov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedor Samsonov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikhail Plyasov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedor Samsonov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Gennadiy Orlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Magadan's Evgeniy Larionov got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Gennadiy Orlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fedor Samsonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mikhail Plyasov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedor Samsonov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Orlov in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Magadan's goal looked a bit too open when Mikhail Plyasov came free, but Fedor Samsonov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magadan's Fedor Samsonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gennadiy Orlov in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Magadan's goal looked a bit too open when Mikhail Plyasov came free, but Fedor Samsonov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikhail Plyasov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Mikhail Plyasov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fedor Samsonov. Magadan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikhail Plyasov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 91st minute Gennadiy Orlov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fedor Samsonov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikhail Plyasov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Fedor Samsonov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oleg Alimov's late challenge caught a Magadan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oleg Alimov helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee ended the match the Volzhsky HC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
