After having played for 17 minutes, Roman Lavrenkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red-Black's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Lavrenkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Timonov in the 19th minute of play forced Volgograd UTD's goalkeeper Pavel Sysoev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Georgiy Nikonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Lavrenkov in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavel Sysoev saved Volgograd UTD from getting behind. A collision led to Volgograd UTD getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Varfolomey Baderskov hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Sergey Batygin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natan Nikitin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Lavrenkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Boris Morozov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natan Nikitin having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Natan Nikitin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 69 minutes into the match, Petr Marfin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natan Nikitin, 0-2. Boris Morozov charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Morozov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Boris Morozov hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Volgograd UTD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Petr Marfin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Morozov in the 79th minute of play forced Red-Black's goalkeeper Natan Nikitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Georgiy Nikonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Lavrenkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Volgograd UTD were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Red-Black side.
