Timofey Ezhov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolay Miheev in the 67th minute of the match. Nikolay Miheev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aleksandr Gulin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nikolay Miheev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timofey Ezhov was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Konstantin Hmelnitskiy's late challenge caught a Irkutsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantin Hmelnitskiy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Komsomolsk-on-Amur getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Konstantin Hmelnitskiy hit a great ball. Nikolay Miheev took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timofey Ezhov. In the 89thth minute of the game Leonid Muhin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Komsomolsk-on-Amur's Timofey Ezhov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Semen Samgin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Komsomolsk-on-Amur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irkutsk the free kick. Nikolay Miheev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timofey Ezhov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Nikolay Miheev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timofey Ezhov having to interfere. Irkutsk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
