Georgiy Chernov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Konstantin Benediktov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Rio Branco got a freekick which was hit by Boleslav Sorokin. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gleb Samgin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magadan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gleb Samgin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Arshavin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute Gleb Samgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Arshavin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgiy Chernov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedor Teleshov in the 41st minute of play forced Magadan FC's goalkeeper Konstantin Benediktov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoriy Bezborodko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Konstantin Benediktov. Magadan FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Magadan FC's zone, Georgiy Chernov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantin Benediktov came out of the goal and Georgiy Chernov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Boleslav Sorokin came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rio Branco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boleslav Sorokin couldn't finish the play. Konstantin Benediktov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georgiy Chernov, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georgiy Chernov made a kick off. Gleb Samgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kim Arshavin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rustam Babkin. Konstantin Benediktov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georgiy Chernov in the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Boleslav Sorokin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Konstantin Benediktov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Fedor Teleshov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Konstantin Benediktov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gleb Samgin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Arshavin having to interfere. Konstantin Benediktov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georgiy Chernov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although Rio Branco had been in control for most of the match, Magadan FC still came away with the win.
