If Denis Fomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksandr Margolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Apraksin having to interfere. The supporters of BK Pugino booed when Bratsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatoliy Sidamov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolay Akinfeev came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Bratsk FC's Yuriy Savvin. But to his dismay, Yuriy Savvin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 22 minutes, Fedor Konikov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Pugino and the Bratsk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, BK Pugino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedor Konikov to maneuver through the defense. Nikolay Apraksin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedor Konikov in the 25th minute of play. Yuriy Savvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Akinfeev having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Yuriy Savvin made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, BK Pugino's David Ivannikov got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Yuriy Savvin struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Nikolay Akinfeev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bratsk FC. Nikolay Akinfeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuriy Savvin in the 61st minute of the match. A hard shot 68 in the game by Artur Hamidullin from a close distance when the talented Nikolay Akinfeev managed to make a qualified save. BK Pugino's players were relieved. When Yuriy Savvin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Bratsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuriy Savvin couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind BK Pugino's goalkeeper Nikolay Akinfeev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artur Hamidullin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Akinfeev having to interfere. Nikolay Akinfeev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuriy Savvin's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Bratsk FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BK Pugino throughout the match.
