Viktor Boichenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ryazanov having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vadim Shevchuk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georgiy Aksenenko was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Viktor Boichenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ryazanov having to interfere. Georgiy Aksenenko made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Vadim Shevchuk sent off a good shot on target. Georgiy Aksenenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislav Tutskiy in the 15th minute of the match. Viktor Boichenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, FC Chelyabinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Berezovskiy to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Stanislav Tutskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgiy Aksenenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, FC Chelyabinsk's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Tutskiy came free, but Georgiy Aksenenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, FC Chelyabinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vyacheslav Suhanov to maneuver through the defense. Aleksey Burlyaev shot from long distance in the 27th minute, but Georgiy Aksenenko was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Georgiy Aksenenko made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Vadim Shevchuk sent off a good shot on target. Viktor Boichenko kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, FC Chelyabinsk's Yaroslav Huhlovich sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Ryazanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Yan Tuftin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vladivostok FC's protests and gave Yan Tuftin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Yan Tuftin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Ryazanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaroslav Huhlovich in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Boichenko to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vladivostok FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dmitriy Glov hit a great ball. After having played for 52 minutes, Viktor Boichenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chelyabinsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Boichenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Valeriy Uhtomskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yaroslav Huhlovich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Valentin Ryazanov made a huge save. Vladivostok FC's Stanislav Tutskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georgiy Aksenenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislav Tutskiy in the 67th minute of the match. Sergey Zhdanov charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergey Zhdanov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 0-1 came through a penalty shot after 71 played minutes, when FC Chelyabinsk:s Mikhail Blednov calmly waited for Vladivostok FC:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 74 minutes into the game, Vladivostok FC's Stanislav Tutskiy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georgiy Aksenenko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Yaroslav Huhlovich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ryazanov having to interfere. If Vadim Shevchuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Vadim Shevchuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes FC Chelyabinsk got a freekick which was hit by Igor Berezovskiy. Gennadiy Alekseev struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Georgiy Aksenenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vladivostok FC. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
