Klim Gusev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Stanislav Zudin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Klim Gusev. Elets FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanislav Zudin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Elets FC's Pahom Samgin got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valeriy Knyazhinskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoliy Nikonorenkov in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Anatoliy Nikonorenkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriy Knyazhinskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pahom Samgin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Valeriy Knyazhinskiy made a huge save. Valeriy Knyazhinskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoliy Nikonorenkov in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Nikonorenkov in the 24th minute of play forced Voronezh's goalkeeper Valeriy Knyazhinskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anatoliy Nikonorenkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriy Knyazhinskiy having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Voronezh's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoliy Nikonorenkov came free, but Valeriy Knyazhinskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Morozov scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valeriy Knyazhinskiy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valeriy Knyazhinskiy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Morozov in the 40th minute. If Anatoliy Nikonorenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanislav Zudin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Voronezh fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Valeriy Knyazhinskiy had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Taras Shagin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Pahom Samgin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elets FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pahom Samgin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Kirichenko's late challenge caught a Elets FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Kirichenko helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Voronezh! Valeriy Knyazhinskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irakliy Hairullov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Igor Hil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriy Knyazhinskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ivan Morozov made a precise shot to the right of Valeriy Knyazhinskiy. Voronezh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Valeriy Knyazhinskiy came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Elets FC's Anatoliy Nikonorenkov. But to his dismay, Anatoliy Nikonorenkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 83 minutes into the match, Voronezh's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Morozov came free, but Valeriy Knyazhinskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Anatoliy Nikonorenkov made a precise shot to the right of Valeriy Knyazhinskiy. Voronezh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 91 minutes into the game, Anatoliy Nikonorenkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Valeriy Knyazhinskiy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 100th minute, Anatoliy Nikonorenkov made a precise shot to the right of Valeriy Knyazhinskiy. Voronezh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Elets FC had played much better football throughout.
