Ryazan FC's Zinoviy Isakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatoliy Nikonorenkov in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Ryazan FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Mikhail Martynov hit a great ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Ivan Morozov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elets FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Morozov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irakliy Hairullov hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes Elets FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Morozov. Ivan Morozov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zinoviy Isakov having to interfere. Ivan Morozov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Zinoviy Isakov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Matvey Sinitsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Elets FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Sadyrin to strike the kick off in the second half. Artem Abramovich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klim Gusev having to interfere. Matvey Sinitsin kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Zinoviy Isakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatoliy Nikonorenkov in the 57th minute of the match. When Igor Sadyrin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ryazan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Sadyrin couldn't finish the play. Igor Sadyrin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klim Gusev having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Elets FC's Anatoliy Nikonorenkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zinoviy Isakov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee ignored Elets FC's protests and gave Timofey Ognovenko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Timofey Ognovenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klim Gusev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Sadyrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryazan FC's Artem Abramovich got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
