Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georgiy Burnashev during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Olymp getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Georgiy Burnashev hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Boris Lobashov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reds's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Lobashov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Bereznitskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boris Lobashov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Grigoriy Danilov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Reds's Sergey Eliseev. Sergey Eliseev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute of the match Vyacheslav Gvozdikov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergey Eliseev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigoriy Danilov in the 30th minute of play forced Reds's goalkeeper Sergey Eliseev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Olymp booed when Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Parfen Kiselev didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, FC Olymp's goalkeeper Pavel Bereznitskiy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petr Buchanov. Parfen Kiselev hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Grigoriy Danilov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Olymp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigoriy Danilov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After 52 played minutes Reds got a freekick which was hit by Roman Bakinov. Grigoriy Danilov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Sergey Eliseev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Oskar Averchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reds's Petr Buchanov got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, FC Olymp's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Lobashov came free, but Pavel Bereznitskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Boris Lobashov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoriy Danilov kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Petr Buchanov came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petr Buchanov couldn't finish the play. Grigoriy Danilovs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Sergey Eliseev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Roman Bakinov put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Reds fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Vyacheslav Gvozdikov shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Reds:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Olymp:s goal. With a little luck, Reds's Sergey Eliseev got control of the ball when Grigoriy Danilov tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Olymp's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
