Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dmitriy Emelyanov took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Arkadiy Suhanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Volgodonsk's goalkeeper Anatoliy Blankov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanislav Dasaev. After a defensive mix-up in Volgodonsk's zone, Eldar Smolskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anatoliy Blankov came out of the goal and Eldar Smolskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanislav Dasaev struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Anatoliy Blankov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salavat. Eldar Smolskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arkadiy Suhanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matvey Konovalov charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matvey Konovalov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valentin Belozerov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dmitriy Emelyanov went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 24 minutes of play Salavat's Matvey Konovalov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 25 played minutes Salavat got a freekick which was hit by Matvey Konovalov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dmitriy Emelyanov in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Belozerov saved Salavat from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arkadiy Suhanov in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Belozerov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Salavat's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitriy Emelyanov came free, but Valentin Belozerov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Volgodonsk's zone, Sergey Grigoriev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anatoliy Blankov came out of the goal and Sergey Grigoriev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dmitriy Emelyanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dmitriy Emelyanov came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Volgodonsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dmitriy Emelyanov couldn't finish the play. After 37 played minutes Salavat got a freekick which was hit by Eldar Smolskiy. In the 38th minute of the match Igor Borzov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Belozerov skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dmitriy Emelyanov in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Belozerov saved Salavat from getting behind. Arkadiy Suhanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Belozerov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Valentin Belozerov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dmitriy Emelyanov went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislav Dasaev to make the kick off. If Stanislav Dasaev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arkadiy Suhanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Valentin Belozerov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Rudolf Linko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dmitriy Emelyanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Belozerov having to interfere. Eldar Smolskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Salavat defense, Dmitriy Emelyanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Belozerov. The Salavat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Belozerov should have stopped the shot. When Vikentiy Chernopyatov fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Volgodonsk's protests and gave Vikentiy Chernopyatov a yellow card for diving instead. Vikentiy Chernopyatov kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rudolf Linko succeeded in the game's 78th minute to get real power on a long shot . Volgodonsk's Anatoliy Blankov hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-3! An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislav Dasaev in the 85th minute of play forced Volgodonsk's goalkeeper Anatoliy Blankov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Salavat's Valentin Belozerov got control of the ball when Arkadiy Suhanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volgodonsk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
