An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Georgiy Ilyuschenkov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Georgiy Ilyuschenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Svalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Mark Svalov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valeriy Osokin. The goal made the score 1-0. Valeriy Osokin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgiy Ilyuschenkov in the 24th minute of play. Nikita Gribanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mark Svalov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valeriy Osokin having to make a save. Albert Saschihin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriy Osokin having to interfere. Valeriy Osokin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georgiy Ilyuschenkov in the 42nd minute. Valeriy Osokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Svalov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Nikita Gribanov made the kick off in the second half. Georgiy Ilyuschenkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Svalov's late challenge caught a Novotroitsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Svalov helped the player get up and apologised. Mark Svalov kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Feoktist Grodzenskiy fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novotroitsk FC's protests and gave Feoktist Grodzenskiy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Novotroitsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feoktist Grodzenskiy to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Novotroitsk FC's Feoktist Grodzenskiy got a free kick in the 58th minute. Mark Svalov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valeriy Osokin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Boris Lapin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mark Svalov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriy Osokin having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Novotroitsk FC's goalkeeper Valeriy Osokin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Novotroitsk FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nikita Gribanov hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Mark Svalov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriy Osokin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgiy Ilyuschenkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Valeriy Osokin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Novocheboksarsk players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
