Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genrikh Vorontsov in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Spiridon Shishlyannikov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute Genrikh Vorontsov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spiridon Shishlyannikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Chita's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Gorozhaninov came free, but Spiridon Shishlyannikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Arkhangelsk FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Valeriy Chebotarevskiy hit a great ball. Anton Titov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Kirill Seliverstov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Genrikh Vorontsov struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Spiridon Shishlyannikov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arkhangelsk FC. When Anton Titov came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Chita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Titov couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Arkhangelsk FC booed when Chita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evgeniy Vyun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Chita defense, Genrikh Vorontsov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Spiridon Shishlyannikov. The Chita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Spiridon Shishlyannikov should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Vladlen Kochar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite a couple of nice moves Kirill Seliverstov's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Samuil Mikhailov was beeing forced to shoot. Leonid Kostin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
