Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vitaliy Simush got the match started through his kick off. Georgiy Strazhnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Erast Govorkov came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Volgograd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erast Govorkov couldn't finish the play. Georgiy Strazhnikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Vladislav Manonin made a huge save. In the 11th match minute, Abakan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vyacheslav Lapikov to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Volgograd booed when Abakan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Komarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vitaliy Simush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georgiy Strazhnikovs short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Vladislav Manonin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 24 played minutes Abakan got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Komarov. Egor Medvedev was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Abakan getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ruslan Komarov hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Petr Perevezentsev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lavrentiy Prusakov was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Yakov Brafman's late challenge caught a Volgograd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yakov Brafman helped the player get up and apologised. If Erast Govorkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladislav Manonin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitaliy Simush's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Georgiy Strazhnikov scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladislav Manonin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Petr Perevezentsev came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Volgograd fans jumped to their feet. Georgiy Strazhnikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladislav Manonin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Abakan's Georgiy Strazhnikov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladislav Manonin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 80 minutes into the game, Ilya Bakhmin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abakan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volgograd the free kick. Erast Govorkov came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lavrentiy Prusakov could save by the left post. Petr Perevezentsev scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lavrentiy Prusakov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Volgograd's Petr Perevezentsev in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abakan's goalie prevented a goal. Abakan's Vitaliy Simush got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
