Anton Lushin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilya Nemchinov. Birobidzhan HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Birobidzhan HC's Vyacheslav Kokoshin in the 9th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Oleg Korzin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Kamensk-Uralsky FC through an amazing save. A nice corner shot did that German Arhipov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oleg Korzin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fedor Kondratiev hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Andrey Lobanov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Birobidzhan HC's Ilya Nemchinov didn't even have to move. After 16 minutes, Nikolay Yarustov made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Birobidzhan HC's Ilya Nemchinov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kamensk-Uralsky FC's Oleg Korzin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Kamensk-Uralsky FC from getting a goal against them. Birobidzhan HC's Ilya Nemchinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolay Yarustov in the 21st minute of play. Ilya Nemchinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vyacheslav Rybakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Birobidzhan HC's Vyacheslav Kokoshin in 30 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Oleg Korzin guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Lyubomir Gasilov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Oleg Korzin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilya Nemchinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Rybakov in the 46th minute of play. The Birobidzhan HC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kamensk-Uralsky FC were winning 0-1.

If Vyacheslav Kokoshin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilya Nemchinov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vyacheslav Rybakov went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 75 played minutes, Kamensk-Uralsky FC's Anton Lushin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ilya Nemchinov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kamensk-Uralsky FC reached it. Nikolay Yarustov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Vyacheslav Rybakov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kamensk-Uralsky FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vyacheslav Rybakov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilya Nemchinov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vyacheslav Rybakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilya Nemchinov having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Birobidzhan HC got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Kondratiev. Ilya Nemchinov had great luck who in the 87thth minute grab hold of the ball when Vyacheslav Rybakov from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kamensk-Uralsky FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
