Yuriy Erasov hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes of play, Novocheboksarsk FC's Matvey Georgiev made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osip Mamontov was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Filimon Abramson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Osip Mamontov to make any attempt to save it. Osip Mamontov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filimon Abramson in the 18th minute of play. Lev Konstantinov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Eshev having to interfere. Igor Eshev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arkadiy Biryukov went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Novocheboksarsk FC booed when Kirov HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonid Vorontsov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luka Romanov, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arkadiy Biryukov in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Eshev saved Novocheboksarsk FC from getting behind. Osip Mamontov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filimon Abramson in the 34th minute of play. Albert Blavatskiy's late challenge caught a Novocheboksarsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Blavatskiy helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Kirov HC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Blavatskiy. Osip Mamontov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filimon Abramson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Yuriy Erasov fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novocheboksarsk FC's protests and gave Yuriy Erasov a yellow card for diving instead. Yuriy Erasov kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Fedor Kuzmin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fedor Kuzmin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fedor Kuzmin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Osip Mamontov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuriy Erasov's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, Novocheboksarsk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matvey Georgiev to maneuver through the defense. Arkadiy Biryukov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Igor Eshev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osip Mamontov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matvey Georgiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luka Romanov's late challenge caught a Kirov HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osip Mamontov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filimon Abramson in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Novocheboksarsk FC's Igor Eshev got control of the ball when Lev Konstantinov tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes Kirov HC got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandr Teleshov. 77 minutes into the match, Novocheboksarsk FC's Luka Romanov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 83rd match minute, Kirov HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Putilin to maneuver through the defense. Albert Blavatskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Matvey Georgiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osip Mamontov having to interfere. The Novocheboksarsk FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kirov HC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
