Kir Aleksashin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The supporters of Maykop FC booed when Kaluga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Pashkevich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maykop FC's Mark Bolshakov couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petr Stepanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egor Rubakhin in the 30th minute of play. Egor Rubakhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egor Rubakhin in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Stepanov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaluga's Georgiy Kulakov couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maykop FC. Kirill Subbotin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Mikhailov in the 44th minute of play. Maykop FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Gennadiy Mikhailov scored to the left of an out of position Kirill Subbotin, making the score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Mark Gluhotko made the kick off in the second half. Gennadiy Mikhailov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute.
