With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gleb Kuznetsov in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vadim Elzhov saved Kurgan from getting behind. Vadim Elzhov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Yaroslav Skibinevskiy. Stepan Tuikin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Vadim Elzhov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gleb Kuznetsov in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stepan Benediktov got free with Vadim Elzhov in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gleb Kuznetsov came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Nizhny Tagil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gleb Kuznetsov couldn't finish the play. When Adolf Avtomovich came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Kurgan fans jumped to their feet. Gleb Kuznetsov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Ernest Pilipenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernest Misikov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Nizhny Tagil FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kurgan were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gleb Kuznetsov to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernest Misikov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rustam Galich in the 56th minute. Nizhny Tagil FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniil Zakharov in the 62nd minute. Stepan Benediktov took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vadim Elzhov. Vadim Elzhov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Kurgan's zone, Stepan Benediktov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vadim Elzhov came out of the goal and Stepan Benediktov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurgan's Vadim Elzhov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stepan Benediktov in the 68th minute of play. If Gleb Kuznetsov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
