Stanislav Konovalov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Akunin in the 37th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirill Karyakin made a kick off. Timur Vazyulin was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Roman Akunin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Severodvinsk's Stanislav Konovalov got control of the ball when Efim Chigirinskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Roman Akunin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novokuybyshevsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Akunin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Yuriy Kruglikov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novokuybyshevsk FC's Oleg Bulanov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikhail Kondrashin might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oleg Bulanov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikhail Kondrashin ran back to his position shaking his head. Stanislav Konovalov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Akunin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Novokuybyshevsk FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
