But to his dismay, Stepan Zykov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sevastyan Frolov during the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Noginsk FC defense, Stepan Zykov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genrikh Yanushevskiy. The Noginsk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genrikh Yanushevskiy should have stopped the shot. When Stepan Zykov came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Seversk HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stepan Zykov couldn't finish the play. The Noginsk FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seversk HC were winning 0-2.

Noginsk FC's Genrikh Yanushevskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Noginsk FC from getting a goal against them.
