Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dmitriy Bozhenov started the match with the kick off. Vasiliy Suknev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aleksey Anvelt having to make a save. Vitaliy Margolin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Aleksey Anvelt made a huge save. Vitaliy Margolin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. In the 9th minute, Maksim Novikov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Achinsk HC booed when Bratsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efim Laputin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Vasiliy Suknev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Achinsk HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasiliy Suknev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Anvelt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Vitaliy Margolin fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Achinsk HC's protests and gave Vitaliy Margolin a yellow card for diving instead. Vitaliy Margolin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Vasiliy Suknev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Aleksey Anvelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksey Anvelt made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Vitaliy Margolin sent off a good shot on target. During the 20th minute of the match Maksim Novikov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maksim Novikov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Bratsk's Maksim Novikov got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bratsk's zone, Vitaliy Margolin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Anvelt came out of the goal and Vitaliy Margolin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 played minutes Bratsk got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Bozhenov. 25 minutes into the match, Achinsk HC's Vasiliy Suknev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleksey Anvelt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Albert Grehanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bratsk's Aleksey Uvarov got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evgeniy Karin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigoriy Pavlov, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Albert Grehanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasiliy Suknev made a kick off. Vasiliy Suknev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 60 minutes, Vitaliy Margolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Achinsk HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitaliy Margolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vasiliy Suknev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksey Anvelt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bratsk's zone, Vasiliy Suknev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksey Anvelt came out of the goal and Vasiliy Suknev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 played minutes Bratsk got a freekick which was hit by Andrey Lyubinskiy. Achinsk HC's Vitaliy Margolin got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Bratsk's goal looked a bit too open when Vasiliy Suknev came free, but Aleksey Anvelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arseniy Sarbaev during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 89th minute of the match Rustam Agafonov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rustam Agafonov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Achinsk HC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
