Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Irkutsk's Natan Litovin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Klim Podkorytov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gennadiy Terentiev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stanislav Ushmorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gennadiy Terentiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gennadiy Terentiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Sysoev in the 8th minute of play. Stanislav Ushmorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gennadiy Terentiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gennadiy Terentiev came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Lipetsk's Gennadiy Sysoev. But to his dismay, Gennadiy Sysoev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Natan Litovin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Boris Romm, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lipetsk's zone, Natan Litovin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Romm came out of the goal and Natan Litovin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Lipetsk's Boris Romm got control of the ball when Matvey Krainikov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Oles Rodimov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lipetsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irkutsk the free kick. 37 minutes into the match, Lipetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Natan Litovin came free, but Boris Romm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gennadiy Sysoev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gennadiy Terentiev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lipetsk's zone, Natan Litovin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Romm came out of the goal and Natan Litovin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gerasim Subbotin charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerasim Subbotin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerasim Subbotin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Natan Litovin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 played minutes Irkutsk got a freekick which was hit by Matvey Krainikov. Irkutsk's Matvey Krainikov got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Natan Litovin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matvey Krainikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Romm having to interfere. If Matvey Krainikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Eduard Ungern fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irkutsk's protests and gave Eduard Ungern a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Irkutsk's Eduard Ungern got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Irkutsk's goalkeeper Gennadiy Terentiev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boris Romm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natan Litovin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Matvey Krainikov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Boris Romm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
