With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maksim Averkovich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Izhevsk's Timofey Berbidaev suffered a concussion in the 17th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 17 minutes, Grigoriy Cherevko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berezniki HC and the Izhevsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Izhevsk booed when Berezniki HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigoriy Cherevko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes, Ippolit Alekseev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izhevsk and the Berezniki HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After taking down the ball on Izhevsk's corner Anton Nikonov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filipp Bystrov quite easily take care of the ball. Maksim Averkovich acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anton Goldovskiy. In the 96th match minute, Izhevsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timofey Golubev to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Berezniki HC's corner Anton Goldovskiy fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maksim Averkovich quite easily take care of the ball. Berezniki HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
