Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 54th minute, Filipp Krutov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rustam Lyuzenkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Chebrikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Murmansk HC's Ippolit Bilyaletdinov got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Rustam Lyuzenkov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Bukharov went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the match, Murmansk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Bukharov came free, but Rustam Lyuzenkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rustam Lyuzenkov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Chebrikov's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Filipp Krutov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Filipp Toporkov made a huge save. Konstantin Golyakov kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Novoshakhtinsk's goalkeeper Filipp Toporkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipp Krutov. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Novoshakhtinsk's goalkeeper Filipp Toporkov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Novoshakhtinsk getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fedor Flyarkovskiy hit a great ball.
