The tension between the Voronezh FC and the Salavat players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Salavat booed when Voronezh FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frol Solomin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stepan Gavrilov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Irakliy Anisimov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Voronezh FC's Irakliy Anisimov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Danilov in the 10th minute of play. If Stepan Gavrilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Salavat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Stepan Gavrilov kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. German Serezhin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Strelkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. German Serezhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislav Nagulnov in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
