The tension between the Smolensk FC and the Nalchik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Smolensk FC's Fedor Eliseenkov got a free kick in the 9th minute. Nil Nechiporenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filimon Primenko in the 14th minute of the match. Smolensk FC's Roman Chichkov got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Smolensk FC's Roman Chichkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lev Goldenshtein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roman Chichkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Leonid Miroshin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nil Nechiporenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lev Goldenshtein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Chichkov in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Chichkov in the 30th minute of play forced Nalchik FC's goalkeeper Lev Goldenshtein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrey Melkumov hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Aleksey Uhov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Lev Goldenshtein skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A hard shot by Vitaliy Smola from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Nil Nechiporenko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 55 played minutes Smolensk FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrey Melkumov. Smolensk FC's Nil Nechiporenko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Smolensk FC from getting a goal against them. If Leonid Miroshin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Chichkov in the 66th minute of play forced Nalchik FC's goalkeeper Lev Goldenshtein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Kozlov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Nalchik FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arseniy Zhuravlev's late challenge caught a Nalchik FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arseniy Zhuravlev helped the player get up and apologised. Nil Nechiporenko had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Vitaliy Smola's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 79th match minute, Smolensk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Kuzyuk to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Miroshin in the 80th minute of play forced Smolensk FC's goalkeeper Nil Nechiporenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nil Nechiporenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Miroshin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aleksey Uhov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Chichkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lev Goldenshtein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleksey Uhov's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Roman Chichkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lev Goldenshtein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nalchik FC's Leonid Miroshin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute of the match, Leonid Miroshin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nil Nechiporenko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Smolensk FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nalchik FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nalchik FC.
