The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Murmansk's German Kusraev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Samoilov in the 4th minute of play. Vyacheslav Kalashnikovs short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got German Kusraev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vasiliy Tsirenschikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikhail Sharov, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arkadiy Levin to make the kick off. Vladimir Samoilov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Kusraev having to interfere. If Mikhail Sharov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Vyacheslav Kalashnikov in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vladimir Samoilov took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Kusraev. German Kusraev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 78 played minutes, Murmansk's Artem Savinkov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasiliy Tsirenschikov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Murmansk reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Samoilov in the 79th minute of play forced Murmansk's goalkeeper German Kusraev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasiliy Tsirenschikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiy Levin in the 84th minute of the match. When Dmitriy Polevoy fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murmansk's protests and gave Dmitriy Polevoy a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Murmansk got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Polevoy. 89 minutes into the match, Murmansk's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Kalashnikov came free, but German Kusraev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Orsk FC's Vyacheslav Kalashnikov made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Kusraev was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute Arkadiy Levin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasiliy Tsirenschikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
