When Kirov's Daniil Panfilov in 5 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Egor Ignatiev guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Egor Ignatiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oleg Bakaev, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniil Panfilov in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egor Ignatiev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Daniil Panfilov made a precise shot to the right of Egor Ignatiev. Sochi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. German Efremov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rustam Massalskiy in the 33rd minute of play. Vadim Malafeev's late challenge caught a Sochi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vadim Malafeev helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kirov getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Vadim Malafeev hit a great ball. If Daniil Panfilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rustam Massalskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. German Efremov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Efremov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rustam Massalskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniil Panfilov to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sochi's Egor Ignatiev got control of the ball when Oleg Bakaev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniil Volochkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Efremov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rustam Massalskiy in the 58th minute of play forced Kirov's goalkeeper German Efremov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniil Volochkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kirov's Vadim Malafeev got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Daniil Volochkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Efremov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but German Efremov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniil Panfilov might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egor Ignatiev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniil Panfilov ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Innokentiy Cherepko during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Innokentiy Cherepko kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Rustam Massalskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Efremov having to interfere. If Daniil Volochkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sochi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
