Almetyevsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Labaznikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fedor Pinaichev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valeriy Bobrzhitskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedor Pinaichev having to interfere. Artem Rossovetskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Fedor Pinaichev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavel Labaznikov in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fedor Pinaichev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donat Ezhin during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Almetyevsk FC booed when Nizhnekamsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Malchukov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Nizhnekamsk's goalkeeper Fedor Pinaichev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valeriy Bobrzhitskiy. Pavel Labaznikov might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fedor Pinaichev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Labaznikov ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Kirill Vasin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Konstantin Odintsov. Veniamin Sharapov's late challenge caught a Nizhnekamsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veniamin Sharapov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Veniamin Sharapov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Nizhnekamsk's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Labaznikov came free, but Fedor Pinaichev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nizhnekamsk's Aristarh Borshevtsov got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Fedor Pinaichev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pavel Labaznikov went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Almetyevsk FC's goalkeeper Konstantin Odintsov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristarh Borshevtsov. When Igor Subbotin came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Almetyevsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Subbotin couldn't finish the play. Pavel Labaznikov might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fedor Pinaichev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Labaznikov ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the game, Almetyevsk FC's Valeriy Bobrzhitskiy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fedor Pinaichev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
